TRAFFIC PHENOMENON IN LAGOS

      Introduction  Lagos is Nigeria’s largest state. twenty- Two million people lives in Lagos Nigeria, it is also the economy capital of Africa that has lost billions of naira to traffic problems every year. According to Adebiyi (2011), the congestion is caused partly by road users themselves and bad road. Lagos road users are known to be very impatient and bad at obeying traffic rules.  Other effects include missed appointments, higher fuel bill, decreased productivity, and high degree of stress and so on. Some of the effects are less palpable, such as the impact environment. It is of more advantages to hawkers as they make their daily sales. Traffic in Lagos can be controlled by anyone. On the  18th of April 2024, we the students of group E, attended "the home coming festival", University of Lagos Mass Communication Alumni Association (UMCAA) at Tayo Aderinokun Hall.  We had  the pleasure of speaking with representatives, they also explained what the event was all about.
