CAPTIVATING MOMENT UNLEASHED AT THE UMCAA AT TAYO ADERINNOKUN HALL UNILAG

On the  18th of April 2024, we the students of group E, attended "the home coming festival", University of Lagos Mass Communication Alumni Association (UMCAA) at Tayo Aderinokun Hall.  We had  the pleasure of speaking with representatives, they also explained what the event was all about.

The representatives also explained that the event was organised to lecture " the upcoming journalist "such as raise awareness about environmental issues "

We also had the presence of the Dean of the students affairs Professor Obalola, representing the Vice Chancellor of Unilag,  Professor Folashade Ogundipe (the first female Vice Chancellor of Unilag). The head of department,  mass communication  department Professor Tejumaiye Adepoju , the president of the University of Lagos Mass Communication  Alumni  Association,  Dr wale.

Mr Simon Kolawole, publisher of  Cable News Online, the speaker of the event talks about  "DILEMMA BETWEEN JOURNALISM AND ACTIVISM".

The event featured a range of activities and exhibits that show case the latest advances such as renewable energy technologies.

Three students from the Department of Mass communication were able to recite the school national anthem and they were given  prizes.  There was also  questions and answers that took place.

The event ended with some  games (Spin the wheel)  and prizes were given.
